Position: Assembly Tech


Reports to: Production Manager


Scope of Role: Assembly Bitrode's equipment to spec before it is shipped off to the customer. 


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work from assembly drawings and specifications: identify and obtain necessary parts and components from stockroom
  • Assemble preformed sheetmetal parts with nuts and bolts
  • Install mechanical/hardware components using hand and bench power tools, torque wrenches, and assembly fixtures
  • Wire power supplies and adjust for proper voltages
  • Pre-assemble and pre-wire heatsink: install in module and wire
  • Wire all components on module:ensure correct size wire/cables to meet industry standards and codes. May need to cut, crimp, pin, lug and strip wires and cables.
  • Attach required hardware and pre-assemblies in cabinet: complete necessary wiring
  • Modify or rework as needed (drill, tap or countersink holes, grind or file metal)
  • Keep work area clean and tidy

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Prefer Associates or Technical Degree in Electronics or similar fields
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
