Director of International Sales
Summary:
To educate, plan, and assist the international sales team in the promotion and sales of Bitrode Battery Test Equipment and Services to prospective customers and existing customers; to assist the VP of Sales and Marketing in sales management with product planning, sales forecasting and sales marketing; to assist engineering in the definition of new products to meet expanding customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds relationships with international Regional Managers and international Sales Representatives.
- Point person for all commercial activities of the International Sales Team; liaison to the Inside Sales Team and Customer Service Team for product recommendations, product and services quoting and customer satisfaction actions; liaison to Engineering for product inquiries and "voice of the customer" on new product developments.
- Analyzes customer business opportunities and threats; make recommendations and take responsibility for all activities of the International Sales Team.
- Educates, supports and assists the International Sales Team to grow sales in each regional area per the budgeted guidelines.
- Assists the International Sales Team to secure purchase orders by planning and organizing work schedules and visits and attends sales calls with existing and potential customers.
- Develop and deliver technical sales presentations to customers by researching the customer's needs and industry trends.
- Guides the International Sales Team on the submission of purchase orders by working with Inside Sales Manager and Customer Service Specialists.
- Keeps VP of Sales and Marketing and other management personnel informed by submitting activity and results reports.
- Monitors competition and gathering current marketplace information on product pricing, new products, delivery schedules merchandising techniques etc.
- Recommends changes in products, services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
- Attends international trade show events to educate potential customers and to promote Bitrode Battery Test Equipment and Services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position will have 2-3 direct report Regional Sales Managers as well as management and coordination responsibilities for 15-20 outside Sales Representatives.

- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business with 10+ years of experience with technical product design or sales.
- 3 years minimum of selling technical electrical/electronic products.
- 3 years minimum in "hands on" international sales work.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM (INFOR CRM of salesforce.com preferable)
