Bitrode Corporation in St. Louis (South County) area is looking for 2 Mechanical Engineering Interns for the Spring Semester of 2023. Do you want a paid internship? Mechanical Engineering Interns are going to either be working with our New Product Development team or our Mechanical Engineering team. We offer a comfortable, safe environment with flexibility on your schedule. This is a paid internship so you can earn money and experience at the same time.

What would you do as our Mechanical Engineering Intern?
You would have the opportunity to interact with product development design and deploy new products. The battery industry is ever evolving. Bitrode is working to evolve with it. New product development is our future and product support is our present. You would be important to both.
You would be updating engineering drawings by recreating AutoCAD drawings into Inventor solid models and drawings. You would see change notifications, update drawings following the ECN process using revision control and documenting changes. You would be responsible for producing all detailed drawings and design documentation necessary to support fabrication and assembly of client's mechanical designs.
Using Autodesk Vault, you would manage data by maintaining documentation using revision control and putting together drawing packages for internal and external teams. You would develop detailed electromechanical parts for the newly developed parts library. That library is being converted from the legacy AutoCAD 2D bill of materials.
You would also carry out engineering solutions and designs in compliance with engineering principals, company standards, customer requirements, and project specifications. You would review and interpret mechanical specifications.
What makes you qualified for this role?
You need:
- Be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering in junior/senior standing, MS is a plus
- Have strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals knowledge, especially in analysis, design, and manufacturing
- Work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Pay attention to details
We would prefer you have:
- Working knowledge and experience using Autodesk Product Design Suite including AutoCAD Mechanical & Inventor or similar 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks
- Real world experience applying engineering principles
- Practical knowledge of engineering materials
- Fabrication experience
- Experience designing / modeling electro-mechanical devices
- Experience with electrical components
