Senior Accountant

With customers around the world, Bitrode is looking for someone to help bring our accounting practices to the same high standard as our World-Class Cell, Module, and Pack Battery Testing Equipment. We offer an extensive product line of battery formation and laboratory test equipment, as well as software tools, battery simulation and manufacturing automation tools appropriate to all battery applications and chemistry structures. We are looking to find someone to work in our accounting department with manufacturing cost accountant experience and a passion for helping the team improve efficiency and understanding of manufacturing costs.

In this position, you will report directly to the CFO and provide detailed understanding and data driven suggestions for improvement. We rely on manufacturing costs to quote customers, measure monthly results, and make capital investment and strategy decisions. We also need management information for the costs of materials, supplies, machinery, shipping and other processes in the plant.

In order to do this role, you will need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting
• CGMA, CMA or CPA designation (preferred), or equivalent knowledge
• Experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Performing general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Assisting in maintaining and improving the cost accounting systems, policies, procedures, and methodologies to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold
• Analyzing cost records to determine area of opportunity to reduce costs and improve the profitability of the company.
• Supporting the supply chain team by preparing various inventory reports on usage, FIFO, obsolete/slow moving inventory, cycle count analysis, and other reports/analysis as needed to control inventory levels.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Maintaining the fixed assets accounting including construction in progress
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Assisting with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
• Providing outside auditors with assistance; gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Aiding in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Assisting in the annual budget process and periodic forecasts as requested
